Roadside Rescues, Christmas Edition

There are certain spots in my neighborhood where I keep a close eye out for stuff left curbside. Today, one of those spots had a shopping bag at the curb, next to the trash cans, filled with Christmas stuff:


Among other things, there was an incomplete creche set with an oversized Baby Jesus:


An array of hideous plastic ornaments...meant for children, I assume?:


Some pearly, glittery faux fruit in the shapes of apples, pomegranates, and pears:


Various gift toppers:


And a slightly deflated-looking gingerbread man:


I kept the gift toppers and the pretty, pearlized fruit. But the rest I donated to Goodwill right away.


Some things you can't get rid of fast enough.
