Beautiful all year 'round, Crape Myrtle trees are uber-gorgeous in late summer. They explode into color--bearing almost more blossoms than leaves--in shades of pale salmon, lavendar, and several shades of pink. I especially like this variety, which is almost purplish:
Also this time of year, pale-pink Naked Ladies pop up:
A type of Amaryllis, these showy plants burst into flower at the end of long stalks, with no leaves in sight:
They don't have a scent, but they're so gorgeous, who cares?
When you're this glamorous, you can get away without wearing perfume.
