Zoo Babies!

Really, is there anything cuter than these guys? This picture of 7-week old clouded leopard cubs is from the Smithsonian National Zoo's flickr page. So many cute pictures I almost can't stand it--but how awesome that they're sharing them with everyone!

This is Kibibi, a 2 1/2 month old western lowland gorilla. Her name means "little lady" in Swahili.

A new red panda male named Tate was recently introduced to the zoo's female Shama. The pair is already displaying breeding behavior, which is great because red pandas are endangered and breed only once per year. To me they look less like pandas and more like a cross between a raccoon, a red bear, and a pokemon character. But oh so cute.

And finally, winning the award for "babies I never thought could be cute but am now swooning over," Cyrano, the baby giant anteater! I'm loving the spray-painted racing stripes look.

A little off-topic for this blog, but hey, you've got to go ga-ga over baby pictures once in a while. Baby zoo animals definitely fit the bill!
