Scratchy Stuff, Santa Fe

I noticed that a lot of the "texture" photos from my recent visit
to Santa Fe, New Mexico, feature rough and scratchy stuff. Here
are some of my faves:

Coyote fencing,
Tesuque Canyon.

Tree branches,
downtown Santa Fe.

Pink cup, dried weed, and
lattice, downtown Santa Fe.

Painted-over curb,
downtown Santa Fe.

Community table,
Tesuque Village.

Red plastic bucket,
brick oven, and pizza peel,
Tesuque Village.

Hand-spun, hand-
dyed yarn, Santa Fe
Farmers' Market.

  1. No, we did not. Did I miss something special? We ate at the Tesuque Village Market, The Shed, and Harry's Road House, all of which were very good and very casual. We dined a bit more elegantly at El Farol (on Canyon Road), where we had tapas and Spanish wine, and at a new place, A la Mesa!, a bistro and wine bar. We also had a fun time at The Chocolate Maven, a bakery with a sit-down restaurant and a huge glass window through which you can watch the bakers and their gigantic machines at work. Tell me about Cafe Pasquals, and I'll make sure to hit it next time....
