Daisy

The weather out here has been very odd lately. Yesterday it was bright blue, cloudless skies, last night we had rain, and today is grey and overcast. No matter, though, because I have this lovely sight to greet me when I walk into my dorm room:

A beautiful, bright orange gerbera daisy, complements of my best friend Katie. She also bought me that adorable green vase (actually a Saki jar, but I'm repurposing it...) over Spring Break when she was in Japan. Now, the vase and flower are sitting on my desk and making me smile every time I walk into my room. (Not to mention I've had the flower for over a week, and it it is still going strong, which definitely appeals to my poor college student sensibilities.)
